A professional gambler from the 1960s who somehow almost never loses, with a self-assured attitude to match his apparent good luck. Not rich despite how often he wins big; he prefers playing for the personal belongings of others, as a collector of 'good luck charms'. Keeps his collection of ‘lucky’ items he’s won (and random objects he picks up) in the many pockets of his coat.

Currently, he works as a plant at the mob-run White Glove Casino. He's the guy they send out to teach patrons who cheat (or are just winning too much against the house) a lesson. There's no magic or cheating involved with his skills-- somehow, he really is just that good.

As a storm genasi, his powers (and physical form) seem to be strongly connected to his mood. He might come off as always confident and in high spirits, but it's. pretty apparent once you're around him long enough that he's a very emotional person who doesn't handle stress too well...

• Valdes is just his surname. He doesn't let many people call him his real name.
• He's married, and has a 5-year old.
• Thinks and talks very quickly. Has a hard time sitting still for extended periods of time. tfw you definitely have adhd or something but it's the 1960s so youre just Eccentric
• Always letting off harmless little sparks of excess electricity. Kinda makes him look like he's sparkling. His hair stands up with static when he's surprised/stressed out/scared/etc.
• He does harmlessly shock people on accident all the time, though... he's very static-y.
• he really doesn't like lying, but tends to be. tricky. about what information he divulges and when, especially about himself. It's Not Technically Lying!
• His voice has a fuzzy layer of static over it, like he's being played over a radio. He gets harder to understand through the static the more upset he is.
• isn't just a jackass who wears his sunglasses constantly! they're prescription lenses. plus, it's kind of hard holding conversations with a constantly glowing left eye.
• apparently gambling wasn't always his main gig... but whatever he was up to until now is just his sexy little secret ?
• He likes musicals and sci-fi movies.
